A very good turnout of farmers were treated to the latest thoughts on what affects wool production from scientist Roland Sumner of Ruakura and vet Simon Marshall of Vet Services Dannevirke
Local shearer David Kirk and Elders Primary Wool reps spoke and
demonstrated best practise for getting best value from the clip whether it be
from a traditional wool breed or a composite sheep. Jeremy Davies of Baker &
Associates analysed both flock systems to present very interesting data on
what effect there would be on the bottom line for farmers.
