There was a big turnout for the Mechanical Bull competition at the Pongaroa Hotel on Saturday 15th October. Many rodeo hopefuls tried their hand, and almost as many were pitched off, to the cheers of the spectators. The winners of the competition were:
Junior Girls - Pippa Raleigh
Juniour Boys - Michael Buick
Ladies - Jeane Fowler-Burns
Mens - Jason Ellmers
